Timesaver Gathering Technique
The gathering foot quickly and easily gathers a piece of fabric while simultaneously stitching it to a flat piece of fabric. This is a great timesaver technique when stitching a header to a gathered bed skirt, making aprons, or sewing doll clothes.
Edge-Joined Seams
The second video shows a seaming technique that can be both decorative and practical. The fabrics are placed edge-to-edge and the resulting seam is very flat with no bulk. Works well when you are joining fabric to extend the size of yardage.
