Since I am a visual person (I think most sewists are), I love to look at things that I think are pretty. My new sewing space gives me lots of opportunities to do that. Full disclosure – most of the items I’m enjoying in my sewing space are ones I have made – if I don’t like them, who will? I have done a lot of work (cleaning, decluttering, organizing, and sewing) on my studio and I really like the way it is shaping up. Lately I’ve been working on a video so I can share my space with you. I was trying to wait until I had everything organized and pretty, but I’ve come to the conclusion that it may never be completely finished. It will be a week or two before the video is finished, so in the meantime, here’s a little peek at one small part.
On The Wall
I put these gallery shelves up (after I painted them) so I can display a few of my favorite projects. It’s really easy to rotate items so I can change them when I want to see something fresh. Most of my projects are small so I can display several at one time. I’m sure you are noticing the wall behind the shelves. I wallpapered it using a peel and stick wallpaper and it was so fun! I’ve done a fair amount of wallpapering in my time and I can’t ever remember thinking it was fun. But this was easy and quick (compared to using wallpaper paste) and so far, it’s holding strong – still on the wall. My sewing space video will be on My YouTube Channel so if you subscribe, you’ll know when it’s ready to watch.
Stay Tuned
I’m finishing a project for BERNINA and as soon as I’m done, I’ll get back to my sewing space video and let you see what I’ve done with it. Until then,
